The book Photography for Children is truly unique. It delves deeply into the history of
photography, taking an uncommon approach, as most people typically say that the history of
photography began with the first photograph. Our book goes much further, sparking the
imagination of young readers.
Reliable information
The book was written based on specialized literature and expert knowledge. The editing was
done by Ms. Małgorzata Grąbczewska, president of the Association of Photography
Historians in Poland.
Format
The book was published in Poland in a 27.2 x 37 cm format, similar to a large album, with
highly readable content. There is the option to adjust the format to suit the preferences of
international publishers.
Chapters
In addition to the history of photography, the book includes
chapters on the profession of a photographer, photographic equipment, how to take pictures,
and a section with DIY tasks.
Illustrations
The illustrations appear on every page of the book. They are highly detailed, refined, and
fun. The cover features Franciszek, a dog loved by children. He accompanies readers
throughout the entire book.
Universal content
The book is dedicated to children aged 6 and up, but one of its greatest strengths is its
universal appeal. The book can grow with the child, who will gradually delve deeper into the
topic of photography. Parents also gain knowledge about how photographs are created and
useful tips for taking pictures.
Workshops with the Book Photography for Children
The workshops include a presentation where we talk about the history of photography and
the work of a photographer. The children are active participants. They are introduced to
Franciszek, the dog featured on the book’s cover. There’s lots of laughter, energy, and many children
decide to continue their adventure with photography after the presentation!
Reviews and Partnerships
Our book has received excellent reviews from photographers, parents, and children, as well
as on online platforms dedicated to culture, art, and children's literature. We collaborate with bookstores across Poland and a
renowned chain of photography stores.
